Mark’s Music
Mark’s Music
2008
I listen to all sorts of music except manufactured ‘pop’. Playing music I have always been an improviser but have been trying of late to write ideas down and develop them. I don’t read music but have been exploring music theory through notation so I lot of my things have a classical feel to them right now. Anyway its hard to get a good groove going without other humans. I’m working alone with a computer most of the time. If you want to collaborate with me please email me.
I like jazz and play Pedal Steel here on Autumn Leaves.
How Insensitive is a great tune to improvise over as is My Funny Valentine.
Gymnopedies on Dobro and Mandolin might upset the purists as reharmonising a Bach Minuet may do too. Romeo and Juliet is often messed about by arrangers though so here is a guitar version.
Here are some short simple classical things I have written, a Melody, a Lament, a Marimba piece, a piece for Flute and Piano, and an Orchestral piece.
I have been arranging some tunes to here is Michelle for brass, If I Fell for strings, She's Leaving Home for guitars.
Finally some music to picture things but I haven’t finished the picture bit yet!

I have always been interested in musical instruments their history and construction and have been making instruments as a hobby. Here are some I made.
